Job Description – Service Delivery Manager, Full-Time, Sterling VA Headquarters Location

In this position, you will learn, understand, and gain expert-level skills in all service areas and system operations for all vehicle services. You will interview and hire new technicians, train technicians, provide rigorous Quality Control and Quality Assurance for service delivery, create and score technicians on KPIS and critical metrics, and participate in senior management leadership decisions and direction. You will visit customers and observe technicians completing service. You will ensure all technicians fully comply with uniform requirements and perform all job duties safely and efficiently. RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities:
- Learn all aspects of service delivery to supervise and audit technicians in performing service.
- Standardize and write operating procedures for service delivery.
- Perform ride-along and technician checkouts for service delivery.
- Provide coaching and assistance in establishing a technician culture focused on the customer.
- Provide first response to technician-related issues and resolution.
- Interface with IT, Manufacturing, Marketing, Tire Engineering, and Sales to ensure service
delivery. - Participate in training videos and webinars as a guest participant as requested.
- Attend tradeshow and customer events to perform demonstrations as requested.
- Assist with image and brand efforts by selecting uniforms and ensuring uniform compliance. This
job will require wearing the company uniform at all times. - Interact with Customers as Necessary.
Hiring Technicians and Retention:
- Coordinate job fair participation and identify effective recruiting events.
- Participate in job fairs and hiring outreach at local schools to develop a staffing pipeline for
technicians. - Assist in establishing a world-class culture and company performance.
- Recruit, interview, and hiring of technicians for multiple office locations.
- Establish workforce staffing plans and technician needs consistent with Sales Plans
- Consult with Sr. Mgmt for technician dismissal and removal for cause. Execute technician dismissal as necessary.
- Review Pay and grades for technicians and assist CEO & Exec Management in pay scales and bonuses.
- Assist in award promotion and recognition of technician achievements.
Training:
- Coordinate, plan, and schedule weekly technician training.
- Work alongside the CEO for technician training theory and to develop training programs.
- Develop systems user manuals for training technicians.
- Visit remote locations to train, oversee, and audit technicians.
- Oversee technician qualifications and administer practicum tests to qualify techs.
Quality Assurance and Establishing Metrics:
- Identify and establish KPIs, Quality metrics, and technician grading systems.
- Grade all technicians on performance and coach them to improve service delivery.
- Visit technicians during service to audit and evaluate service ability.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two or more years experience in Operations Management and Employee Leadership.
- Two or more years of experience with MS Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint to develop
documentation to establish procedures. - Committed and dedicated leader able to meet changing demands and challenges.
- Candidate must exhibit grit and the ability to focus on a task to completion.
- Fast learner with the ability to react quickly to changing requirements.
- Detail-oriented with effective follow-up.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills; empowered to make decisions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects.
- Excellent customer service skills, including telephone manners and face-to-face encounters.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products.
- Strong understanding of Customer Satisfaction Metrics.
- Ability to drive a 26-foot straight truck with a manual transmission to resupply our specialty vans with AASTRAEA Nitrogen. Travel typically to SC, GA, and NY. Overnight stay required periodically if needed.
